The glabellar preservation on this Paralejurus is magnificent, with the eye lenses readily apparent. The flying prep on a smaller specimen like this is notoriously difficult, and has been well executed. The preservation is good enough that you can feel the texture of the shell as it would have been millions of years ago. One of the nicer Paralejurus we've seen recently.

Paralejurus - 2.0" (5.0 cm)
These authentic Paralejurus trilobites come from the fossil-rich Devonian strata near Alnif, Morocco, a region world-renowned for its beautifully preserved trilobite fauna. Belonging to the order Proetida, Paralejurus is easily recognized by its smooth, streamlined exoskeleton and large, rounded pygidium, giving it a more oval and polished appearance compared to spiny or segmented genera.
Unlike many trilobites with ornate surface textures, Paralejurus evolved a simpler, hydrodynamic form suited to life on or just beneath the seafloor. It likely scavenged or sifted through sediment in calm, shallow seas that once covered the Anti-Atlas region. These trilobites often have well preserved holochoral eyes, composed of dozens of near-microscopic lenses.
